This page was created to inform people of the negative impact of the new service as of G9.
This is not so much an argument or opinion, but a list of facts mixed in with trying to get people to stand up to nexon.
Nexon has recently changed their available services on North America Mabinogi. The changes suposedly were made to
"simplify" our choosing of services, and have taken the "best parts" of each of the 3 services and combined them into one "Premium Package",
and suposedly for cheaper than what we used to pay before. This is wrong on so many levels, so read on to find out more.
Some people are very happy with this change, after some research and questioning of individuals I have found
that most fall into two categories: People who only used "Extra Storage" pre-G9, or people who didn't use service at all.
Yes, it's a fact, if you only ever used extra storage service (or none), then this new premium package is likely an improvement to you.
However, it is not only rude but quite silly to only consider your view of the situation. A very large number of people used
the old Fantasy Life Club package. These people have lost a lot with these new changes, and are feeling ripped off and frustrated.
Side by side comparison of the pre-G9 and post-G9 services
This comparison table alone should make it painfully obvious to everyone that we are indeed getting ripped off.
This table is pure fact, no bias or opinions. A simple yes/no next to each service indicating if said service included a feature.

Doesn't look -that- bad, right? Well that's what nexon wants us to believe. Through clever wording, and building up hype about it,
many a person has been led to believe that this service package is superior to our old Fantasy Life Club. The fact is, if you compare everything,
this new Premium Package is nothing more than the old Extra Storage with a few added perks to lure you in.
How's that you ask? It's quite simple.
Look at the 3 old service packages carefully. Extra Storage, Nao Support, Advanced Play.
What they all have in common is their major selling point. With the exception of extra storage, which has several. Advanced play gives each
character on your account the choice of a useful item every day of the week. Nao Support allows you to revive with minimal exp loss and full blessing.
Extra storage on the other hand has a few selling points: double bank space, guilds, housing, personal shops.
What does this leave us with in relation to this new Premium Package?
A stripped down Fantasy Life club that removes the major selling points of Nao Support and Advanced Play. Or if you want to look at it slightly
differently, a fancier version of Extra Storage that costs 1,400 NX more than it used to.
So as said earlier, the people who win in this case are those who used to only buy extra storage. Anyone who bought Fantasy Life Club loses out. But wait,
It gets worst. You all lose out. Every single one of you who enjoyed being able to dye your clothes or have unlimited mana for 5 minutes, or being
able to revive your friends halfway accross the world, you can't anymore. At least not without paying real money for it, or ridiculously high
in-game gold prices now that everything must be bought individually. For example, 990 NX for a dye, whereas people used to get as many dyes as they had
characters for a fixed price 4 times a month, and then sell those dyes to you at a fairly reasonable price.
No more of that.
Your holy water prices will skyrocket as well. There's only so many channels and so many NPCs to do holy water jobs at, and each only offers a
few slots to do the job per game day. Probably not enough to meet the demand of a whole server that doesn't have Nao anymore, because too few people
are willing to pay per revive. Enjoy ranking enchant.
So, once you look at the chain reaction caused by this, and stop being narrow minded and only looking at your benefits of now having a few
extra perks because you used to only buy extra storage anyways, it kinda sucks doesn't it? I mean it isn't even a matter of opinion. Side by Side
comparing of pre-G9 and post-G9 service packages clearly shows that 1) we'r being ripped off, and 2) even if the service itself doesn't affect you,
the side effects will affect you in some way or other unless you play on your own and ignore the rest of the world.
So for those of us who are affected directly by this service change, those of us who want at the very least, to get daily items per character,
what can we do? Well most of us are already doing it as can be seen by reading forums or asking people in-game. We're not buying the new service,
and not buying the advanced play stuff from cash shop. Some of us go so far as to not buy NX at all, and others just outright quit mabinogi.
Some will argue that not buying NX is pointless, this is only true when it's one person whose pissed off and decides not to buy NX anymore. This
here is NOT the case. A huge number of people are pissed off, and that's only looking at forums, for every person voicing their opinions on a forum
there's probably a bunch more who don't visit forums who feel the same way and will also stop buying the service. They may not even stop buying it
out of protest, but simply because it's just not worth it.
And that's the whole point of this message.
It is not worth it. Period.
Nexon will probably realize this after a month or so when they see the numbers. You can help them realize it sooner by sending them tickets about this.
Send them feedback as often as you can, saying you want your advanced play or nao back, or whatever it is you'd personally like changed. Nexon
seems to be run by a bunch of retards, but when it comes to making money they pay close attention. This new service is designed purely for
making money, but it will not work very well, as can be seen clearly.
Don't let nexon trample over us, voice your opinions as often as you can on the nexon forums, send them tickets, whine about it in-game,
and make sure that anyone you know who is not happy with this doesn't just shut up and accept it. Just accepting it means nexon wins.
Just a couple more facts to rub it in:
1)NA Mabi is now the only version of mabi with no advanced play or similar service.
2)Nexon has a daily item giveaway, 1 item per account, and is currently limited to 2x exp potions. However this is not to be confused with a replacement
for advanced play, as no one pays for this, everyone gets it for free. It is not part of any service, and does not make up the loss of 1 item per character per day.
Also note that we are NOT asking for any of this to be free. Many people on forums have accused us of wanting free services. I don't understand where
they obtained this idea from. We want a service similar to what we had before, at a similar cost. That is all.
